Raf Simons' 'Riot! Riot! Riot!' came after a
one year hiatus. The clothing pivoted away
from the prep school-influenced work of his
past, and in many ways ushered in a new
era - one defined by political commentary,
dramatic proportions, and a working-class
point of view. Twenty years later, this
sweater stands as one of the defining
pieces of not just AW2001, but Simons'
entire career. It's cut with the oversized
proportions of the collection, and features
graphics of many of the season's recurring
muses, including Richey Edwards of the
Manic Street Preachers, David Bowie and
Joy Division.
